A friend of mine asked if I could make a christmas ornament for her finance's mom. She said anything about frogs, since the mom favored frog ornaments. I didn't now how to execute it but one time I went into a store, saw some very nice socks, and pieced them to come up with a sock doll and got good reviews about it. I was very happy with the outcome. I decided to make another doll, making it more original. No patterns, no drawn plan being followed. Everything's all about the present, my judgement, skills, and creative execution.
I made a cat sock doll and and enjoyed the way its colors have made it stand out---a floral red patterned textile of its body. I made a funny hat for him, and found a piece of stick, and made a bag on a stick for him. This cat is full of character! If he should spring to life, then he should need "friends"! I made more dolls, and love making picture stories with these dolls.
Making these dolls is rewarding as it generates a lot of smiles, and hugs from people. Each doll is an original. It is a treasure as it is unique on its own in creating friendships and beautiful memories.
Besides these dolls I enjoy making crafts and artworks. I like making my own solutions to my everyday problems and share them. Since I have sensitive skin and have eczema, I learned to make my own soap and other skin products. I also make my own hand sanitizers and air fresheners that are natural and safe.
I will never ever get to stop to draw as this has always been with me ever since I am small. I always find myself drawing.
Enjoy!
